Tour Guides Australia is excited to invite you to not one, but two, Industry Day events.
WEDNESDAY 29 SEPTEMBER @ 9.00AM
& THURSDAY 18 NOVEMBER @ 1.00PM
Spread over two online sessions with different content on two separate days, this is a time when we come together right across Australia to celebrate guiding and be inspired about the future of our profession.
WE HAVE AN AMAZING LINE UP OF PRESENTERS WHO REPRESENT ORGANISATIONS THAT INFLUENCE THE WORK OF GUIDES AND TOUR OPERATORS AT A NATIONAL LEVEL.
This will be an online event with attendees from across Australia and South Africa (WTGFA). Online registrations are now open.
The first sessions on each day begin with our national audience coming together for an official welcome and update on the recent work of TGA on behalf of members.
OUR FIRST SESSION INCLUDES A NOT-TO-MISSED VIRTUAL 'AROUND THE GROUNDS' TOUR TO DISCOVER THE RESILIENCE AND ADAPTABILITY OF GUIDES AND OPERATORS WORKING IN OUR MAJOR REGIONS AND THEIR PERSPECTIVES ON THE FUTURE OF GUIDING.
Over both days, we will hear from key leaders in the tourism industry:
Ashleigh Bartley, Specialist Aboriginal Tourism - Visit Victoria
Claire Nuthall, Account Manager Cruise - Akorn Australia & New Zealand
Rob Dougan, Tourism Australia - Executive General Manager, Strategy & Research
Sam Palmer, Austrade - General Manager, Visitor Economy & Client Programs Division
Jessica Keen, Australian Tourism Export Council - National Industry Development & Capability Manager
Aluschca Ritchie - World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations - President
